Panel Discussion: Cyber-security and Incident Response

There is perhaps no greater risk to credit unions than the persistent threats posed by cyber attacks.  Credit unions must be prepared to address the operational risk created by such threats and be ready to respond to incidents should they arise.

As these threats grow in scope, number and sophistication, it is critical that credit unions be prepared to identify and mitigate cyber-security risk.  In this panel discussion data security experts will discuss best practices for creating a culture of cyber-security, including the implementation and testing of incident response plans, preservation of evidence and incident response. Our panel features Angie Singer Keating, CEO, Reclamere, Inc., and attorneys Kevin Gold and Amanda Lavis from Rhoads & Sinon LLP.

Credit Union Privacy Issues

Enacted in December 2015, the Fixing America‚Äôs Surface Transportation Act (FAST Act) modified the requirements for delivering annual privacy notices under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and Regulation P. Attorneys Ken Rollins and Brandt Bowman from the law firm Rhoads & Sinon LLP will discuss the notice requirements associated with Regulation P. and provide examples of circumstances when your credit union can avoid the annual notice requirement.

Compliance Hot Topics

We'll conclude our meeting with a presentation by PCUA Compliance Consultants Joanne Broderick and Cindy Russell regarding changes to regulations such as the Military Lending Act, HMDA, Same Day ACH, Overtime Rules, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, and more.
