Bankruptcy and Troubled Loans – Pillar+Aught

Recent amendments to the Bankruptcy Rules and Model Forms have a direct impact on financial institutions. It is imperative that credit unions be fully informed regarding bankruptcy law and other lending law issues surrounding troubled loans.  This session will focus on:

  • Important legal updates

  • Trends and compliance issues

  • Strategies needed to effectively manage troubled loans through collections, repossessions, foreclosures and bankruptcy

 

Indirect Lending and Loan Participation – RKL

 

Credit unions have turned to indirect lending and loan participations as a means of generating additional interest income. This session will focus on:

  • The accounting and internal controls surrounding indirect automobile lending and loan participations purchased/sold. 

  • Accounting for troubled debt restructured (TDR) loans, other real estate owned (OREO)

  • Accounting for interest on nonaccrual loans

 

Compliance Hot Topics – PCUA Solutions

 

This session will focus on:

  • Highlights of the 2018 NCUA Supervisory Priorities with a focus on the Bank Secrecy Act Compliance and Customer Due Diligence (CDD)

  • The final amendments to Regulation CC, effective July 1, 2018, that update the check collection and return provisions

  • Updates on Same Day ACH, HMDA 2018, ADA website accessibility
